THE BASIC IDEAS

The Azienda Agricola Lungaiano started in 1974 as a Show Jumping Horse Stud and only recently, in 1990, became involved with Trotters that represent, up to now, the main interest of the Stud. Let's see some of the ideas on which the Stud is based: - We specialise in broodmares and youngstock, we have no stallions at Stud, no livery horses, training center or tourism. - Horses need a lot of space: for this reason we restrict the number of animals we keep on the farm and have big paddocks up and down the hills. - Each foal has a precise identity from the moment it is born. He immediately gets a name and is turned out the same day of the birth and as soon as possible he will be incouraged to eat a supplement to the mother's milk. He will have individual attention for the entire period spent in Lungaiano.
